Q:
How do I uninstall the software?
A:
Follow the instructions below for your computer system:

Windows
  1. Turn off the Epson Stylus NX400.


  2. Disconnect the USB cable from the Epson Stylus NX400.


  3. Click Start or , and select Programs or All Programs.


  4. Select Epson or Epson Printers, Epson Epson Stylus NX400 Series, then select Epson Printer Software Uninstall.


  5. Note:
    In Windows Vista, click Continue, then go to the next step.

  6. In the next window, select Epson Stylus NX400 and click OK. Then follow the on-screen instructions.


  7. Open the Windows Control Panel, then click Uninstall a program under Programs (Windows Vista) or double-click Add or Remove Programs (other Windows versions).


  8. Click EPSON Scan in the list of currently installed programs and click Uninstall/Change (Windows Vista) or Change/Remove (Windows XP or 2000).


  9. Note:
    In Windows Vista, click Continue, click Next, and continue with step 9.

  10. When the confirmation window appears, click Yes.


  11. Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall EPSON Scan.


  12. In some cases, a message may appear to prompt you to restart the computer. If so, make sure Yes, I want to restart my computer now is selected and click Finish.

  13. Restart your computer.
Macintosh

  1. Insert the Epson Stylus NX400 software CD-ROM in your CD-ROM or DVD drive.


  2. Open the Common folder, then open the EPSON Scan folder.


  3. Double-click the EPSON Scan Installer icon.


  4. When the Installer window appears, select Uninstall from the pop-up menu at the top and click the Uninstall button.


  5. Return to the Common folder, then open the Printer folder in the CD-ROM window.


  6. Double click the EPSON_IJ_Printer icon.


  7. When the Installer window appears, select Uninstall from the pop-up menu at the top and click the Uninstall button.


  8. OS 10.4: Open the Applications folder, select Utilities, choose Printer Setup Utility, click Epson Stylus NX400 and click Delete.
    OS 10.5: Open System Preferences, select Print & Fax, click Epson Stylus NX400 and click the minus sign.


  9. Restart your Macintosh, then see the Start Here sheet to reinstall your software.
