Concerning the EPSON ELPDC02 Image Presentation Camera

***Product Recall***

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Epson America, Inc. is conducting a recall and repair of the EPSON ELPDC02 Image Presentation Camera (also known as a "high resolution document imager"). Epson has learned from the manufacturer that in certain instances, improper installation of the lamp in the light arms of the EPSON ELPDC02 Image Presentation Camera can lead to heat build up, and on rare occasions, can lead to smoking or fire. Although there have been no reported incidents in the United States, there have been a few reported incidents in Japan. To eliminate the risk of such an incident occurring, Epson is offering its customers a free inspection and retrofit for all EPSON ELPDC02 units. As illustrated below, please locate the model number for every image presentation camera you own to determine if it is affected by this notice. If you own an EPSON ELPDC02, please contact our Technical Support team. Epson will make arrangements to have the unit sent in and repaired at no charge to you. In the meantime, please immediately stop using your ELPDC02 image presentation camera.

Maintaining the Image Presentation Camera
As stated in the User's Guide, you should not replace the lamps or any other parts for this product. If the lamp or any other part needs replacing, contact your dealer or a qualified servicer. To locate an Epson Authorized Service Center, visit our Service Center Locator.
