Transporting the Printer
If you need to transport your printer, carefully repack it using the original box and
packing materials as follows:

Open the printer cover and make sure the print head is in the home (far right)
position. If not, turn on the printer and wait until the print head returns to the home
position. Turn off the printer. |

Leave the ink cartridges installed when you transport the
printer. Removing the cartridges during transport can damage the printer. |

Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet, then disconnect the interface cable
from the printer. |

Remove the paper from the sheet feeder and remove the paper support. |
 |
Open the printer. Secure the ink cartridge holder to the printer with tape as shown
below, then close the printer cover. (Be sure to remove it when you set up your printer
again. |

Push in the output tray extensions and raise the output tray. |
 |
Attach the protective materials to the printer. |
 |
Repack the printer in the original box. |
 |
Keep the printer level during transport. |
