What should I do if I’m having problems installing the software for a wireless network connection?
Check the following:

  • If you see blank lines instead of your Network name (SSID) in the Choose a Wireless Network window, make sure your Network name is not set to Hidden. See the router or access point’s documentation for details on changing the setting.

  • Make sure all applications (including any screen savers and virus protectors) are closed before you install the software. If any applications were open, uninstall the software (Windows or Macintosh), then reinstall the printer software.

  • If you see an error message or your software doesn’t install correctly in Windows, you may not have software installation privileges. Contact your System Administrator.

  • Uninstall the printer software (Windows or Macintosh), then reinstall the printer software.
